How It Works
PDF pages store an internal rotation value alongside their content. This tool uses pdf-lib to read each page's current rotation and add your chosen angle to it, so the page displays correctly rotated in any standard PDF viewer without altering the underlying content.
Tips for Best Results
- All pages in a file rotate by the same angle in a single pass. If only a few pages are sideways, split the PDF first, rotate just those pages, then merge everything back together.
- 90° and 270° are mirror opposites — if a page ends up turned the wrong way, just re-run it using the other option instead of rotating twice.
- Rotation only changes how the page displays and prints; the underlying text and images are untouched, so it's a safe, reversible operation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole document?
This tool rotates every page in the file by the same angle. For page-by-page control, split the PDF first, rotate the specific page, then merge it back with the rest.
Will this fix a scanned document that's upside down?
Yes — choose 180° to flip an upside-down scan the right way up.
